Trade Rules

For All Trades

  • Please read and follow these guidelines in any trade transaction. These are the protocols I follow, so you know what to expect from me...

  • The music & artwork listed on this site is for trade only. None if this material is ever to be offered to be sold or purchased. Requests to purchase any items will be ignored. Any discovered attempts to subsequently sell any material acquired WILL be reported to the appropriate parties.

  • Make all arrangements FIRST before mailing. I should have your full name, address and phone number on file before receiving/sending anything.

  • Unsolicited packages are considered gifts, or returned as sent.

  • Mail in bubble padded envelopes, NO FIBER MAILERS!!! Fiber filled mailers are a BIG no-no.

  • Send discs in CD sleeves (2 sided plastic, paper, or tyvek). Only place the appropriate number of discs in any sleeve that it is designed for. If you insist on sending jewel cases, please use a box, & ample padding to minimize the chance of breakage.

  • Only 1:1 trades, based on the number of discs. No profiting (2:1) or cash exchanges.

  • Required: date, venue, mic/mastering info, set/track lists & notes for each disc, via e-mail prior to trade. Cover art is appreciated (printable image or printed) but not required.

  • ONLY DAO recordings. I do not burn, nor wish to recieve any concerts in TAO format.

  • SHN or FLAC data format CDR trades preferred over audio, and I will make preference for traders who specifically trade in data format. No MP3s or MP3 sourced discs.

  • Don't mark on any part of the disc. I label my OWN in the clear center hub, and not on the media area. Specify your media type before sending, and I will try to use an 'equal' media (ie same dye color/type).
Likes | Mitsui, Kodak, Ricoh (plat), Taiyo Yuden, Sony Dislikes | Generic, Duradisc, Maxell, Memorex (blue)

  • As for audio CD's and filler, don't bother unless it is the last disc of a show, which is relatively empty. If you do provide filler, please send info about it as well.

  • Filler on data CD's is perfectly acceptable, provided there is accompanying documentation, and it is subfoldered seperately from the intended trade material.

  • Always include some sort of correspondence, covering all the important factors of this particular transaction (because emails do occasionally get lost/deleted unintentionally).

  • Please e-mail me the day they go (and/or arrive) in the mail.

    Blanks & Postage (B+P)

B&P's are often welcome, depending on my current trading activity. It never hurts to ask.
If you are new to CDR trading, I encourage you to check out the following site:
    Instructions for CD-R B&P Offers
    (by Ed McNichol)

  • First, be sure you read, understand, and follow my general trade guidelines (above).

  • It is easiest if you mail in NEW unsealed bubble padded envelopes. Include a pre-filled return label with your address, and sufficient Priority Mail or First Class postage for return.

  • Discs sent in FIBER MAILERS WILL BE RETURNED UNBURNED.

  • Include a message with your address and all other relevant information. Tape a piece of paper (or post-it) to the case/sleeve of each blank, stating what is supposed to go on it, and your name/email.

  • At the post office get the clerk to 1st weigh and provide (return) postage for your return mailer, addressed to you. Be sure to specify STAMPS, and not metered strips. Then have them weigh the envelope or box addressed to me, with the return mailer and contents inside of it.

  • When you get home, send me a brief e-mail saying: 'My discs for _________ went out today (date)."

  • Be patient. It'll take days, it'll probably take weeks. It shouldn't take months, but in some cases...it might.
