Treat Her Right 1/1/2005 Studio - , (***,1 FLAC) Source: Cassette Tape Notes: Take Me With You When You Go (230 MB) FLAC files fit on same disc as Morphine 1996-08-18 This is the famed "lost" THR album, which was supposed to be their third for RCA (after "Tied To The Tracks" and before "What's Good For You"). It never wound up getting released and the band sold it on cassette at gigs for a while. "Take Me With You When You Go" was the working title. thr2005-01-01.jpg 1 CDR ---------------------------------- 1. MONA'S SISTER - Sounds like the same version as the one on "Sandbox," with a slightly different mix. 2. LOVE ME - Vocal by Dave Champagne. Never released anywhere else. 3. STANDIN BY YOUR WINDOW - Vocal by Jim Fitting. Different recording from the one on "What's Good For You." I think I may prefer this one. 4. EARLY MAN - Very different from what's on "Sandbox." This recording, with a different mix, appeared on a hard-to-find comp called "North By Northeast" in the early '90s. 5. BACK TO SIN CITY (AGAIN) - A superior re-recording of a song that originally appeared on "Tied To The Tracks." Vocal by Dave Champagne. 6. I WALK ON GILDED SPLINTERS - Originally recorded by Dr. John. 7. SOME OTHER DOG - Same version as what's on "Sandbox." 8. BLACK SUNSHINE - Vocal by Dave Champagne. Never released anywhere else. 9. I'M HERE TO GET MY BABY OUT OF JAIL - Vocal by Dave and Jim Fitting. A much more exciting version than the one on "What's Good For You," and a much better mix, too. 10. SOY HOMBRE - Could be slightly different from the "Sandbox" version. 11. IF I HAD POSSESSION OVER JUDGEMENT DAY - Written by Robert Johnson. This is a somewhat muddy sounding (sounds like an audience tape, actually) but pretty cool live performance, sung by Jim Fitting ----------- |
